best thing in life right now: being able to stick a new page to that wall.

it's just going sloowwly (I'm a nitpick and a perfectionist) but so far there is not one page I dislike so yay! There a few more pages (photoshoot) though but they didn't fit in the photo properly (theyre on the right side of the door). Just two more weeks of work, school, sleep, work, school, sleep and then it's finished! Or it should be at least, I'm getting faster so it should work out!

alive! (although you do not want to look behind me. My room is so messy only a ninja can walk around without breaking his neck slipping/tripping over stuff. I'm busy okay! no time for cleaning!)

I finally chose and began editing a picture, I'd like to use this on the cover but I'm having doubts since she does look really young here and I don't want it to look like a teenmagazine. It is one of the pictures that seems to grab the most attention of everyone going to the pictures from the shoot though.
I'm having a really hard time picking just a few from the rest of the 478 pictures I took for the stripperheels photoshoot (there are 4 different outfits and I only want to use one of each and maybe an extra close-up or two). There are simply too many good pictures, I guess that means my sister's really a good model!

I need a new wardrobe! so I ordered a few things, very different styles since I tend to get tired of the same look all the time very quikly

another H.Naoto item! I never even thought I would buy one item from them and now here's my second (I'm still contemplating whether or not to buy that bag. It's awesome though)

and this! (if this order ever comes through, damn slow shopping service is slow) LA hoodie in mint, Audrey Hepburn shirt, bow sneakers and bow necklace!

I'll have to work real hard from now on if I want to execute all the plans I have for the magazines. I'll do two full page fashion shoots, one with a poppy/graphics (think cartoons) theme and one with a kitschy hippie theme.

two outfits for the first shoot

1st:                                                                                                 2nd:
shirt: Listen Flavor                                                                       headbow: Shirley Temple
socks: non brand goldXwhite                                                   glasses: Zipper
yellow: I'm going to make a pleated                                        socks: non brand
miniskirt from this                                                          shirt: Banana Fish
polkadots: making mini shorts from this

I want to combine these with black patent peeptoe stripper heels like these:

still contemplating hairstyles. I'd like a short brown bob for the first, but the model has long blond hair so that would mean a wig. For the second outfit I want a cute high bun to back up the huge bow like this:

and then the hippie kitsch shoot. This is really going to be a lot of work since I can't find anything in the style I want for this shoot anywhere. I only found a cute waistcoat and bag at H&M, so I will have to make the rest myself. This are the fabrics I'll probably be working with:

Big flouncy dresses in natural colors/materials with a slightly vintage feel (flowery buttons etc.) Just over the knee with brown motorcycle boots and all the way to the ankle combined with birckenstock(like) slippers (like the shiny ones a few posts below).

Big curly hair with hairpieces like this:

so the clothes are going to be very natural and the accesories kitschy and shiny. Barbie vs. Hippie

I'd better get to work!

I'm already growing tired of the nu rave hype, time for the next trend! I vote for the "terrorist/tramp" look that seems to be quite popular in asia these days.

I bought this shoes today for the hippie kitsch photoshoot! two purple since I didn't have the model with me to try them on, and silver for myself! Might use the silver ones for the photoshoot too, if they're not stupidly big on the model. I'm really glad since I was originally looking for silver coloured Birckenstocks but they're really expensive (especially for using them once for a shoot) and these were only 2,95 euro! =D

Finally an update! first thing probably is the fact I didn't make to HKU fashionschool, which sucks real bad. I can understand it though..my portfolio was really outdated and didn't represent me at all, I really should have worked harder on it. I still need to get my invitation for an entry exam for Fashion school Arnhem. I will go though I don't expect to be accepted, but it will help me understand what I need to work on and what they're looking for.

new plans: work really hard on my portfolio, make money, buy the things I need for the things I want to do (good scanner/printer, mannequin, photocamera etc.) and most of all: try new things!
Things I want to learn and try: Graffiti, photography, pattern drawing, japanese, silk screening and much more. So maybe it's good that I have a year to really develop myself. I do know I want to work in the fashion industry, but I really want to think over what it is exactly that I want to do..styling, photography or design. Thinking about the future makes me nervous!

I really love Candy Stripper!
I found these pictures somewhere:

And If you come across anything cool please let me know! I need to fill my magazine! It really can be anything: fashion, art, music, trends etc. I also need blogs/sites and stuff for trendspotting/trendwatching etc so if you're reading blogs about fashion, art, music etc please let me know these too!

Long post is long so I'll continue tomorrow

So I'm back from Paris which was reallly awesome. We went to the must-see things like the eiffel tower (at night, awesome), arc de Triomphe (boring), Sacre Coeur (pretty), Notre dame (pretty but mostly yet another church, forgive me) and the Louvre of course but it was wayy to busy and I was too tired to really want to wander around, saw the mona lisa and the venus from milo though.
But mostly we just wandered through paris, went shopping (alot..didn't buy all that much though)and enjoyed the subways. Oh and we went to Comme des Garcons which was awesome. And expensive. And had scary doors that were invisible from the inside so hard times getting out of that store.

What I bought: Bape superhero hoodie, tights with comic print, kokon to zai backpack that I really love, Babyssb hairthing and socks, h&m pants & big sunglasses, Tune magazine from Colette (I love that store) and a set of a grey t-shirt + striped very loose fitted jersey dress from a random store. No pictures since even my crappy camera died. The picture under this is the last he took, I'm wearing the dress/shirt set and bape hoodie from paris.

hairbow: Babyssb
hoodie: Bape
Shirt+dress: random store in Paris
jeans: Zara
Shoes: Nike
accesories: Charmmy Kitty earstuds, pearls from Bijou Brigitte, and a vw orb replica by river island

Graphic I made for visual/oshare kei

this is really amazing

Hyangdan

  • Feb. 7th, 2008 at 7:37 PM

so now I finished watching Super Junior Full House, and waiting for episode 12 of Exploration of the Human body (both amazing shows go watch them on youtube!) I watched Hyangdan today it's an awesome drama that features Seo Ji-Hye and SIWON (super junior) I wanted to watch 1 episode and finish schoolwork then but it's so awesome I spend the whole day watching and just finished (the drama..not schoolwork unfortunately)  XD

and now I'm really starting to like hanbok! (those traditional korean dresses on the girls in the picture) though I can't really get over the weird headgear some of those guys wear especially those black seethrough things))
I wonder what fabric they are made out of..they looked kind of parachutey to me in some scenes.

and I faiilllled the driving test..although I thought it went really well. That lady was like "I want to let you pass...but it's just not feeling right.." YOU STUPID WOMANNN that will really make me feel better...I failed because it didn't 'feel right' actually I don't really care about a driverslicense I just hate the fact that it's going to keep draining money now.
which also means: no camera for me yet  >< I 'm going to try to work a few days more in a week after paris to make money since I need to buy lots of things (camera, clothes for magazine photoshoots, fabric and materials for the shoes I need to design for fashion school entry exam)

Digital Camera

  • Jan. 31st, 2008 at 9:00 PM

I'll be buying a digital camera soon since I really want to do more with photography. And I want to do outfit shots since I always forget my favorite coordinations ._.'  I want a good one since I'll be using it for a lot of stuff (carry it with me and take pictures of what inspires me, fashion shoots, fabrics, things I made) But not way too fancy, I reallllyy love this one:

I really hope I'll pass for my drivers licence next week, so that will not cost me any more money (it's allready been to much ._.) If so I'll probably buy it next week, in time to take it with me to paris!

finished a graphic again today, I'm getting tired of school I'm really looking forward going to Paris!! only two weeks! unfortunately that means only two weeks for my "book" too D= But it's okay since I've also started working on plans for my graduation project allready, it's going to be a fashion magazine focused on cutesy fashion. Mainly photoshoots and collections of cute stuff but with a lot of graphic design involved.
